About the role
On Behalf of our client, We are looking for a professional, friendly, and highly organized Receptionist to join our dental practice. As the first point of contact, you will welcome patients, manage appointments, and support smooth daily operations in a highly digital working environment.
You are the face and voice of our practice, a calm, respectful, and service-minded, even in busy moments or when dealing with difficult situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist patients at the front desk and by telephone
- Plan, schedule, adjust, and confirm appointments while keeping agendas accurate and up-to-date
- Maintain and update digital patient records and personal data carefully and correctly
- Answer incoming calls, reschedule appointments, and actively follow up with patients when needed
- Handle payments (cash and card/PIN)
- Manage incoming and outgoing communication incl email.
- Process claims/declarations for health insurance companies
- Work digitally and accurately: scanning documents, uploading/importing files into software, handling email attachments, and ensuring files are saved correctly
- Willingness to learn and support with basic dental assistant tasks when necessary

- Proactive, responsible, and willing to learn new skills
- Have excellent professional demeanor, and confident as the first person a patient sees
Requirements
- Minimum MBO level working and thinking ability (preferably administrative/secretarial background)
- Languages: Dutch, English, and Papiamento
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Digitally skilled and comfortable working in digital systems and software
- Confident using email and attachments, scanning, uploading/importing documents, and working with digital patient files
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Reliable, discreet, and careful with confidential patient information
- Flexible and stress-resistant with strong organizational skills
