About the vacancy
- Prepare, pack and label meat products according to the standard operating procedures.
- Check that all inventory of the day is properly stored in the designated area.
- Ensure display of items, rotation, verifies expiration dates and removal of products not properly wrapped.
- Oversees proper usage and maintenance of machines and equipment.
- Stores remaining meat products in the chiller for sale and display the following day according to standards.
- Maintains daily control of fat in ground meat.
- Ensures proper usage, maintenance and sanitation of equipment in the Meat Department.
- Ensures meat products received are of high quality standards.
- Responsible for freezers upkeep
- Ensures correct pricing on the products.
- Reviews the daily and weekly physical inventory and provides the auditor with accurate information.
- Submission of throw-away items on a daily basis.
- Takes special orders from members.
- Upholds and manages health, safety and hygiene in the area
- EPI Diploma
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in the meat cutting field, preferably in the retail environment.
- Health and food handling certification preferred.
- Knowledge of meat cuts and product handling.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Proficient in Spanish and/or English languages (verbal and written).
- Exceptional customer service skills.
