About the vacancy
- Supervise the hotel reservations department, overseeing accurate and efficient recording of bookings for individual and group clients, while maintaining optimal occupancy levels.
- Continuously update the booking network with guest room availability and rate changes, facilitate special promotions, and communicate pertinent information to management for revenue optimization.
- Foster reservation staff motivation, training, and development.
- Address and resolve guest complaints related to reservations and cancellations.
- Enforce policy, procedure, and standard adherence for reservation processing; establish and meet department productivity goals; update reservations manual and reference tools as needed.
- Monitor inventory changes, authorize sell strategy adjustments, and evaluate employee room rate requests.
- Schedule, supervise, and evaluate reservations staff, ensuring sufficient, well-trained personnel contributing to financial and service goals.
- Set performance goals, employ performance management practices, and encourage service excellence among employees.
- Maintain effective communication with key departments (sales, front office, conference services, housekeeping, accounting) to integrate services/resources and mitigate operational challenges.
- Collaborate with department managers for reservations-related planning, marketing, and sales strategies, contributing to rate structure decisions.
- Monitor department labor budget, identify deviations, and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of hotel facilities/services, room layouts, rates, packages, promotions, arrangements with travel agencies, and special events.
- Communicate daily business demands to employees and ensure their familiarity with hotel services and amenities.
- Assign tasks, respond to reservation calls, manage guest history accounts, process advanced deposits and refunds
- Assist Reservations staff when needed, review Travel Agency Commission Report, and manage supply levels.

Requirements
Responsible for soliciting and managing of reservations sales-related opportunities. Manages and provides training and work assignments to Reservations Sales staff. Actively up-sells each business opportunity to maximize revenue opportunity. Achieves personal and team related revenue goals. Responsible for driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience. Provides service to our customers in order to grow share of the account on behalf of the company.
