Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our Maintenance Team and support the reliable operation of our waste processing, recycling facility. This role is critical to minimizing downtime, ensuring electrical safety, and supporting continuous plant performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform preventive and corrective electrical maintenance on plant equipment and infrastructure

- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults (motors, control panels, sensors, conveyors, balers, shredders)

- Install, repair, and modify electrical systems, wiring, panels, and components

- Support PLC, VFD, and motor control systems (troubleshooting support level)

- Ensure compliance with safety, lock-out/tag-out, and electrical standards

- Work closely with mechanical maintenance and operations teams

- Log work orders and repairs in the maintenance system (e.g., eMaint)

- Support plant upgrades and new equipment installations

Required Qualifications

- Certified Electrician (trade certification or equivalent experience)

- 3–5 years experience in industrial or heavy-duty environments

- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motors, control panels

- Ability to read electrical schematics and drawings

- Safety-focused with strong troubleshooting skills

Preferred Skills (Asset)

- Experience in waste processing, recycling, or industrial plants

- Basic PLC and automation knowledge

- Experience in ISO-certified environments (9001 / 14001 / 45001)

- Flexible and willing to respond to breakdowns
