Position Summary

The Wholesale Associate is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing wholesale clients. The primary objective of this role is to drive new business growth by identifying, acquiring, and servicing wholesale partners that positively represent the Royal Aruba Aloe brand. The role requires a proactive, solution-oriented sales professional who can independently manage accounts while collaborating closely with internal teams.


Key Duties & Responsibilities


Sales & Business Development

  • Actively sell Royal Aruba Aloe products to wholesale clients and meet customer needs.
  • Drive new business growth in line with annual sales targets and budget objectives.
  • Identify and pursue new wholesale opportunities through networking, business directories, referrals, and industry events.
  • Plan and organize daily sales activities to service existing accounts and establish new ones.
  • Execute sales calls, conference calls, presentations, and host wholesale events.
  • Adjust sales presentations based on customer profiles and needs.
  • Emphasize product features and benefits based on customer analysis and product knowledge.


Account Management & Customer Service

  • Service existing wholesale accounts, obtain orders, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Submit orders for processing and follow up to ensure timely and accurate delivery according to agreed terms.
  • Follow up with customers after sales to address questions, concerns, or additional needs.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating issues, proposing solutions, and making recommendations to management.
  • Take ownership of an assigned client portfolio and provide service aligned with Aruba Aloe service standards.


Reporting & Administration

  • Keep management informed by submitting accurate activity and performance reports, including daily call reports, weekly wholesale trackers, and monthly reports.
  • Ensure management approval is obtained prior to price calculations and proposals.
  • Verify and control invoice accuracy using Exact.


Market & Product Knowledge

  • Maintain up-to-date product and professional knowledge through training and review of product information.
  • Monitor competition by gathering market intelligence on pricing, products, delivery schedules, and merchandising.
  • Recommend changes to products, services, or policies based on market feedback and competitive analysis.


Collaboration & Internal Communication

  • Collaborate closely with internal departments including Retail, Marketing, Production, and Logistics.
  • Share selling strategies, market insights, and customer feedback with colleagues to support overall business goals.


Skills, Qualifications & Competencies


Education & Experience

  • Associate / MBO Commercial Degree or equivalent relevant experience.


Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent customer service and sales skills.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, and analytical.
  • Strong project management and follow-through capabilities.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office.


Languages

  • Fluent in English, Spanish, Dutch, and Papiamento (spoken and written).

Working Conditions

  • May require evening, weekend, and event-based work.
  • Combination of office-based work, client visits, and industry events.
