NPGO Duties and Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the oversight and management of all ground operations activities of the Company and its affiliates, ensuring full compliance with applicable regulations and company procedures.
• Ensuring that all ground handling operations are conducted in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and company standards
• Oversight of contracted ground handling agents and service providers
• Development, implementation, and continuous improvement of ground operations procedures
• Ensuring coordination between OCC, flight operations, and ground handling services
• Monitoring operational performance, safety, and service quality
• Ensuring compliance with safety and security requirements applicable to ground operations
• Acting as the focal point with aviation authorities regarding ground operations matters
• Supporting audits, inspections, and regulatory oversight activities
• Ensuring proper training and competency of personnel involved in ground operations
• Any additional duties related to the Company’s Operating Manuals or regulatory requirements applicable to the NPGO function.

Requirements – Nominated Person Ground Operations (NPGO)

• Minimum 5 years of experience in aviation operations, preferably in ground operations or OCC
• Strong knowledge of applicable aviation regulations (AUA-OPS 1 / ICAO standards)
• Proven understanding of ground handling operations and aircraft turnaround processes
• Ability to coordinate effectively with Flight Operations and OCC
• Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills
• Advanced English (spoken and written)
• Familiarity with Safety Management Systems (SMS) is an advantage
• Must be acceptable to the Aruba Civil Aviation Authority (DCA) as a nominated post holder
