Role Overview

We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Warehouse & Purchasing Officer to oversee inventory control and procurement functions at our cutting-edge waste recycling facility. This role is key to ensuring the smooth flow of materials, equipment, and supplies required for day-to-day plant operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing stock levels, coordinating purchases, and maintaining strong vendor relationships—while upholding safety, environmental, and operational standards.

As a vital part of our operations team, the Warehouse/Purchasing Officer will help drive efficiency, minimize downtime, and support our mission of sustainable and responsible resource management.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain optimal inventory levels of plant materials, spare parts, safety gear, and consumables.
• Coordinate the procurement of goods and services in line with plant needs and sustainability goals.
• Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery, quality compliance, and cost-efficiency.
• Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials in accordance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain accurate stock records and regularly perform cycle counts and stock reconciliation.
• Generate purchase orders, delivery notes, and reports for management and audit purposes.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in warehouse operations and/or procurement, preferably in manufacturing, industrial, or waste management sectors.
• Experience working with inventory and procurement software.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of inventory control principles and warehouse safety standards.
• Good negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Additional Requirements

• Physically fit to handle occasional manual warehouse tasks.
• Forklift license or familiarity with material handling equipment is a plus.
• Willingness to work in an industrial plant environment.
