Main Responsibilities

Stock Control

• Performs stock counts at locations as per schedule and in accordance with stock count process (quarterly, perpetual, or as needed).
• Collaborates with Branch Management for investigation of stock counts variances.
• Monitors the assigned branches perpetual and high-risk stock counts as per policy guidelines.
• Processes approved stock adjustments to the sub ledger and general ledger.
• Reviews stock discrepancies highlighted and takes corrective action as necessary.
• Monitors and investigates negative stock to identify reasons for such, suggest solutions and process corrective adjustments.
• Reconciles the inventory sub ledger to the general ledger, investigates differences and corrects as necessary.
• Prepares month end stock analysis reports and maintains all files (soft and hard copies) relating to Inventory.
• Processes stock write-offs received from all locations within approved timelines and posts journal entries as required.
• Manages and Monitor the Fixed Assets Register for assigned locations.
• Verifies and reconciles the physical assets to the Fixed Asset Register for assigned locations on bi-annual basis.
• Cash Monitoring
• Reviews the cashier balancing process and liaises with branches where there are discrepancies in balances.
• Reports on cash discrepancies and posts corrective entries for cashier overages and shortages identified Cash Loan Reviews
• Performs cash loan verifications and reporting in accordance with company policy

Other

• To perform any other duties as required by management.

Minimum Experience, Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing or related field
• Certificate in Microsoft Office wouldbe an asset
• Audit experience would be an asset
• Minimum 2 year's experience in a similar position

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Advanced Microsoft excel skills
• Good written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to perform analyses on numerical data and accounting information
• Working knowledge of Accounting Software
• Able to work will in an international team
