JOB SUMMARY:

 Provides excellent customer service to clients (internal and external) and to maintain and update policy owner services member database.

 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

CUSTOMER SERVICE:

  • Attends internal and external customers with information and advice.
  • Ensures that customer issues, whether written or verbally submitted are solved.
  • Completes requests for all policy changes.
  • Completes assignments / releases for existing clients and Banks.
  • Processes Surrenders (from request to transfer).
  • Processes Maturities (from generation of proceeds to transfer).
  • Processes Reinstatements.
  • Requests authorization and approval of policy related disbursements
  • to be submitted to the respective Bank offices.
  • Attends requests for withdrawal from policies (entails verification of amounts to be withdrawn through to delivery of the cheque).
  • Responds to Clients and Sales Agents queries via telephone and email.

 

INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL CORRESPONDENCES

  • Ensures that all documents related to withdrawals are properly completed to be submitted to Head Office.
  • Ensures completion of policy administration transactions and procedures.
  • Prepares documents for mailing – makes necessary copies, if required.
  • Follows up and replies on requirement emails from Head Office.
  • Circulation of letters to customers, if required.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned to assure continuity of business.

 

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED

 

Education/Experience:

·        Junior College (EPI) degree in Economics or HAVO/VWO; MAVO is accepted, with Math and economics/finance/Management subjects.

·        At least three years administration work experience or an internship effectuated in a bank or Life Insurance company.

·        Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power Point, MSWord, Teams etc.)

·        Proficiency in fast and accurate typing and knowledge of MS Word Mail-Merge functions is a plus.

·        Above-average knowledge of written business English language and totally comfortable in an environment of detailed text reading and quality control of forms and documents (tests may be applied).

·        Speak and write the four languages of Aruba. Any other languages are a plus;

·        Excellent personal communication manners (politeness) and interpersonal skills both personal as by phone. Must be able to attend the visiting clients with a very amiable attitude and disposition.

·        Good planning and organizational skills.

·        Must be able to work in a close-knit and team-oriented environment supporting the work processes of colleagues in the Sales Department, Administration, Management and Compliance.

·        Previous AML/CFT Training completed is a plus.

·        Outgoing personality and an appreciation and high regard for customer service.

·        The ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-oriented environment.

·        A high level of professionalism with the ability to receive and handle confidential and sensitive information.
