Position Summary

The Beach Attendant / Watersports Seller is responsible for assisting hotel guests with the use of the complimentary all-inclusive watersports activities while ensuring excellent customer service, safety, and operational standards at all times.

The position also includes promoting and selling additional excursions and activities such as catamaran trips, snorkeling tours, and jet ski excursions, always following the commercial and operational standards of 

ScubaCaribe.

The Beach Attendant represents the image of the company directly on the beach and must maintain a professional, friendly, and proactive attitude with all guests.

Main Responsibilities

Guest Assistance & Operations

• Welcome guests in a professional and friendly manner.
• Explain and assist guests with the use of all-inclusive watersports equipment including:
• Kayaks
• Paddle boards
• Snorkeling equipment
• Floats
• Ensure all required waivers and operational procedures are completed before activities.
• Organize equipment distribution, collection, cleaning, and storage.
• Maintain the beach and watersports area clean, organized, and safe at all times.
• Monitor weather and sea conditions and immediately report unsafe situations.
• Respect all operational and safety protocols established by the company and hotel.

Safety Responsibilities

• Deliver clear and professional safety briefings before every activity.
• Explain proper equipment usage and safety rules to guests.
• Ensure guests use equipment responsibly and within designated areas.
• Observe guests during activities and react quickly in case of unsafe behavior or emergencies.
• Report accidents, incidents, or damaged equipment immediately to supervisors.
• Support rescue procedures when required according to company protocols.

Sales & Commercial Responsibilities

• Promote and sell excursions and additional activities including:
• Catamaran excursions
• Jet ski tours
• Snorkeling trips
• Sunset cruises and other available tours
• Approach guests proactively in a respectful and professional manner.
• Explain excursion details, schedules, inclusions, and safety information accurately.
• Generate leads and maximize sales opportunities while maintaining excellent guest experience.
• Follow company pricing policies and commercial guidelines strictly.
• Assist guests with reservations, vouchers, and meeting point information.

Service Standards

• Maintain the image, standards, and reputation of ScubaCaribe at all times.
• Wear proper uniform and maintain professional appearance.
• Deliver exceptional guest service with a positive attitude.
• Work as part of the operations and sales team to achieve department goals.
• Respect hotel guests, colleagues, hotel staff, and company property.
• Follow all company SOPs, safety standards, and operational procedures without exception.

Requirements

• Good swimming skills required.
• Previous experience in tourism, watersports, beach operations, or sales preferred.
• Customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work outdoors under sun and beach conditions.
• Sales-oriented and proactive personality.
• English required; additional languages are an advantage.
• Responsible, punctual, and team-oriented attitude.
