About the vacancy
Position Summary
The Tour Guide Associate is responsible for promoting Royal Aruba Aloe’s brand, history, culture, and products through engaging on-site tours and off-site presentations. This role focuses on delivering memorable guest experiences, ensuring accurate product knowledge transfer, increasing brand awareness, and encouraging repeat visits and purchases across retail and wholesale channels.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Welcome, inform, and engage guests through guided tours and event presentations
- Provide accurate and enthusiastic information about Royal Aruba Aloe’s history, culture, values, and products
- Answer incoming telephone calls in a professional and friendly manner
- Offer tours to walk-in visitors and actively promote brand experiences
- Conduct dynamic, interactive presentations at on-site and off-site locations
- Register, document, track, and report all tours according to company guidelines
- Track and report monthly KPIs, including participation in scrub or tour experiences
- Promote Royal Aruba Aloe store locations, operating hours, and brand experiences
- Prepare, transport, set up, and break down products, raw materials, inventory, and presentation equipment
- Distribute promotional flyers once or twice per month
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cutting station, desk, and presentation areas
- Ensure daily full setup is completed before opening time and breakdown is completed 10 minutes before closing
- Use a speaker/sound system when presenting to groups of 10 persons or more
- Participate in trainings, meetings, and professional development sessions
- Seek feedback from management and colleagues and apply it to improve performance
- Continuously grow product and brand knowledge and share knowledge within the team
- Contribute ideas to improve guest experiences, tours, and presentations
- Assist in other departments or duties when required to meet organizational needs
- Represent Royal Aruba Aloe’s standards with professionalism, friendliness, and pride
Skills & Competencies
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Service-oriented mindset with a friendly and engaging personality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Passion for brand storytelling and guest engagement
Qualifications & Experience
- VMBO or equivalent work experience
- Fluency in English, Spanish, and Dutch (spoken)
- Some experience with tours or presentations within the tourism industry is preferred
- Valid driving license and ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
