About the vacancy
Basic Function:
The Industrial IEE Technician performs technical, industrial, electrical, and electro-mechanical equipment operation and maintenance work. The employee is responsible for the installation, operation, repair, calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electric, pneumatic, electro-mechanical, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) that control industrial machinery. All work performed requires the highest standards and compliance with local & international codes, OEM standards, and HSE regulations.
Specific Responsibilities:
Install, repair, and maintain: All cables, motors, transformers, generators, lighting, and all other electronic equipment, including Solar Panel Systems.
Electrical Testing: Perform various electrical tests to determine the root cause of electrical malfunctions.
Study Plans & Specifications: Study plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirements and sequence of repairs or installations.
Repair and Maintain Systems: Repair and maintain low and high voltage systems.
Assemble and Install: Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical cables, equipment, appliances, and fixtures.
Diagnose Malfunctions: Diagnose malfunctioning machinery and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
Inspect Electrical Systems: Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustments or repairs, ensuring compliance with international standards and OEM specifications.
Programming: Program Siemens step 7, STL, FBD, LAD.
Bus Network Skills: Proficient in Profibus, PILZ safety bus, and AS-I bus network skills.
Technical Analysis:
Interpret technical documents, schematics, and work orders to assess maintenance needs.
Plan repair and installation processes to optimize efficiency and resource use.
Installation & Testing:
Assemble, install, test, and maintain mechanical components and systems.
Ensure all installations meet operational and safety standards.
Assist in the development and execution of preventive maintenance programs.
Diagnostics & Troubleshooting:
Diagnose mechanical faults and identify corrective actions.
Utilize diagnostic tools to pinpoint and resolve operational inefficiencies.
Safety & Compliance:
Assess machinery and work procedures to identify safety risks and recommend improvements.
Enforce compliance with industry safety standards and company policies.
Maintain records of safety inspections and corrective measures taken.
Cost & Resource Management:
Provide cost estimates for materials and repairs.
Upkeep of spare parts and ensure timely availability of resources.
Equipment Inspection & Documentation:
Conduct routine inspections of machinery and mechanical components.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and report findings to management.
Team Collaboration & Training:
Work closely with other technicians and production staff to ensure smooth operations.
Provide training and technical guidance to junior technicians as needed.
Integrated Management Systems Responsibilities:
Policy Adherence: Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in strict accordance with Integrated Management Systems (IMS) policies and procedures.
HACCP Principles: Understand and apply the principles of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) to identify, evaluate, and control hazards that could compromise product safety.
Environmental Practices: Ensure all maintenance and operational practices adhere to environmental regulations and standards, minimizing environmental impact.
Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in IMS reviews and improvement initiatives, suggesting changes to enhance efficiency, safety, and environmental performance.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and any incidents related to IMS compliance.
General Responsibilities:
Team Collaboration: Be a team player, assisting with other tasks when necessary.
Professional Conduct: Maintain a professional demeanor and represent TBC/BNB positively.
Meeting Participation: Attend all required meetings.
Workplace Organization: Ensure and maintain a neat and organized workspace.
Hygienic Practices: Work in a hygienic manner at all times.
Safety Equipment: Wear required safety equipment as necessary.
Reporting: Report any environmental, safety, quality, or food safety irregularities immediately.
Cross-Training: Participate actively in the cross-training program.
Confidentiality: Handle all information confidentially.
ISO Norms: Adhere to procedures and requirements according to ISO norms.
Job Profile:
Level of Education: MTS/EPI – Electrical/Electronics
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a similar position.
Personal Qualities & Skills:
Good communication and organizational skills.
Flexibility with work hours.
Initiative and motivation.
Reliability and trustworthiness.
Social skills.
Ability to perform repetitive motions, including bending, reaching, and lifting.
Knowledge of Papiamento, English, and Dutch.
