Risk Insurance Officer

The Risk Insurance Officer is responsible for the administration and processing of life insurance applications, medical underwriting requirements, and insurance claims. The role involves reviewing applications and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy, coordinating medical testing and follow-up with laboratories and the Medical Underwriter, and ensuring the secure handling of sensitive medical and personal information in accordance with established procedures and privacy requirements. The officer also administers claims, verifies eligibility and documentation, maintains accurate records, and supports internal stakeholders throughout the process.

Professional requirements:

MBO diploma or a relevant qualification in administration, insurance, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in an administrative, customer service, insurance support, or financial services role.

Assurantiën Module Leven is an advantage.

Candidate Profile:

Excellent Communication Skills: Fluent in English, Dutch, Spanish, and Papiamento, with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Customer Service Focus: Provides professional and customer-oriented support a large client group, ensuring accurate, timely, and responsive service.

Analytical & Organizational Skills: Detail-oriented with the ability to review documentation accurately and manage multiple priorities.

Insurance Administration: Processes applications, medical requirements, and claims accurately while adhering to established procedures.

Confidentiality & Adaptability: Handles sensitive information with discretion and adapts to changing processes and requirements.

Time Management: Effectively prioritizes tasks and meets deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Advanced PC Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with insurance systems is an asset.
