You will be responsible for managing tasks related to Hospitality & Tourism.
Job Summary
The Sales & Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for executing on-property sales and marketing strategies designed in collaboration with the Director of Sales & Marketing. This role will act as the primary liaison between the hotel and clients, ensuring the implementation of campaigns, lead follow-up, coordination of site inspections, and management of key metrics. The position requires proactivity, a strong commercial mindset, and a willingness to learn and apply Marriott’s sales and marketing platforms.
Key Responsibilities
1. On-Property Sales Execution
- Attend to and follow up on leads received through emails, on-property requests, and Marriott platforms (Opera, GXP, MGS, among others).
- Coordinate and conduct site inspections and property presentations for clients, agencies, and corporate partners.
- Assist in the preparation and follow-up of proposals, contracts, and negotiations, in coordination with the Director of Sales & Marketing.
- Maintain constant communication with Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverage to coordinate experiences for corporate clients, groups, and events.
2. Metrics & Reporting
- Monitor sales and marketing metrics through Marriott platforms (Opera, One Yield, MRDW) and provide weekly reports to the Director of Sales & Marketing.
- Measure and analyze the ROI of local campaigns, promotions, and special packages.
- Prepare performance reports using Opera and Excel, ensuring accuracy of information shared.
3. Local Marketing & Communication
- Coordinate photo sessions and content creation on property, aligned with the Courtyard Culture and Marriott brand standards.
- Support the execution of digital and social media campaigns at the local level.
- Keep marketing and sales calendars updated, ensuring the execution of all planned activities.
4. Relationships & Networking
- Represent the hotel at local events, trade shows, and networking activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with travel agencies, corporate clients, and strategic partners in Aruba and the region.
- Serve as the primary on-property contact for clients and prospects, ensuring a personalized service experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage tasks related to Hospitality & Tourism.
- Work 45 hours per week.
- Educational background in Bachelor.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of hotel sales experience or in a similar role.
- Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency in Opera Sales & Catering and willingness to learn and apply Marriott’s main sales and marketing platforms:
• Leads & Sales: MI LEADS, Groups360/GroupSync, Cvent, OneSource, QuickGroup.
• Metrics & Reporting: GXP, MGS, One Yield, MRDW.
• Marketing: MI Studio (BrandWorks), Marriott Sales Companion (MSC), The Stacks, Sprinklr.
• Execution: Sertifi eSignature.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and persuasive skills.
- Analytical ability to work with metrics, reports, and ROI.
- Languages: Fluent in English, Spanish, Dutch, and Papiamento (required).
- - Proactive, results-driven, and able to work independently.
