We are looking for a reliable and service‑focused candidate to join our team!


Key Duties


1. Security Strategy & Leadership

  • Lead and standardize security, safety, and risk management programs across all properties
  • Set strategic direction aligned with company goals and guest experience
  • Serve as primary security advisor to General Managers and Executive Leadership
  • Ensure consistent service delivery and security standards across the properties

2. Access Control & Property Security

  • Oversee all property access control systems and procedures for guests, employees, vendors, and visitors
  • Implement and monitor identification, registration, and authorization protocols
  • Prevent unauthorized access and strengthen perimeter security
  • Recommend and implement improvements to gates, access points, and surveillance

3. Surveillance Systems & Technology Oversight

  • Direct all surveillance and camera operations across properties
  • Ensure optimal camera placement, system performance, and coverage
  • Oversee video retention, access controls, and confidentiality standards
  • Partner with IT on system maintenance, upgrades, and cybersecurity considerations

4. Traffic, Parking & Transportation Safety

  • Oversee vehicle access, parking operations, and traffic flow
  • Establish and enforce safety rules for vehicles, golf carts, and internal transportation
  • Ensure clear separation of guest, employee, vendor, and emergency traffic
  • Improve signage, routing, and congestion management

5. Preventive Patrol & Risk Identification

  • Establish structured patrol programs across guest, back-of-house, and perimeter areas
  • Ensure proactive identification of risks, unsafe conditions, and suspicious activity
  • Implement patrol reporting standards and accountability measures
  • Promote a prevention-focused security culture

6. Incident Management & Investigations

  • Oversee reporting, documentation, and resolution of all security-related incidents
  • Standardize incident reporting processes across properties
  • Lead or coordinate investigations and evidence collection
  • Analyze trends and provide actionable recommendations to leadership

7. Emergency Preparedness & Crisis Management

  • Lead preparedness for emergencies (fire, hurricanes, medical incidents, security threats)
  • Develop, test, and maintain emergency response plans
  • Coordinate drills and training programs
  • Serve as operational lead during major incidents and crises

8. Guest & Employee Safety

  • Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests and employees
  • Oversee management of high-risk situations (intoxication, disorderly conduct, harassment, disputes)
  • Support HR and leadership in workplace safety, investigations, and sensitive situations
  • Promote a culture of safety and confidence across teams

9. First Aid & Emergency Response Coordination

  • Ensure first-aid readiness, including AED availability and trained personnel
  • Coordinate response to guest and employee medical incidents
  • Work with departments to maintain emergency equipment and preparedness
  • Liaise with external emergency services

10. Asset Protection & Loss Prevention

  • Protect company assets against theft, fraud, and misuse
  • Strengthen controls in high-risk areas (warehouses, receiving, storage)
  • Implement preventive measures and monitoring systems
  • Reduce losses through data-driven strategies

11. Vendor, Contractor & Operational Security

  • Oversee screening, access, and movement of vendors, contractors, and deliveries
  • Enforce check-in/check-out and restricted access procedures
  • Ensure security in loading docks, warehouses, and operational areas
  • Identify and mitigate back-of-house vulnerabilities

12. Key Control & Access Systems

  • Oversee all keycard and master key systems
  • Ensure strict controls for issuance, duplication, and lost keys
  • Audit access levels and permissions regularly
  • Partner with Front Office and IT on system integrity

13. Beach & Public Area Security Management

  • Enforce company policies for beach and public area usage
  • Manage non-guest access, safety risks, and conflicts
  • Prevent unauthorized commercial activity
  • Ensure a guest-friendly, service-oriented enforcement approach

14. Security Team & Vendor Management

  • Lead internal security teams and contracted guard services
  • Define staffing models, post orders, and performance standards
  • Ensure training, professionalism, and consistent service delivery
  • Monitor and evaluate third-party security vendor performance

15. Policy Development, Training & Compliance

  • Develop and maintain security policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with local laws, brand standards, and company requirements
  • Deliver security awareness training to all departments
  • Promote consistent and practical implementation across operations

16. Reporting, Analytics & Continuous Improvement

  • Deliver regular reporting on incidents, trends, and risk exposure
  • Use data to identify vulnerabilities and drive preventive strategies
  • Provide insights and recommendations to executive leadership
  • Continuously improve security effectiveness and operational alignment


Requirements

  • Proven ability to lead multi-property or large-scale security operations
  • Strong knowledge of hospitality operations and guest service environment
  • Expertise in risk management, investigations, and incident response
  • Experience managing security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms)
  • Demonstrated leadership of teams and third-party vendors
  • Strong crisis management and decision-making skills under pressure
  • Ability to balance security enforcement with guest experience
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Knowledge of local regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements
  • Proficiency in reporting, data analysis, and security technology


Qualifications

  • MBO/HBO degree preferred
  • 8–10+ years of progressive security experience, including leadership roles
  • Experience in hotel or resort hospitality environments strongly preferred
  • Certifications such as CPP (Certified Protection Professional), PSP, or equivalent (preferred)
  • First Aid/CPR/AED certification (required or ability to obtain)
  • Crisis management or emergency response training (preferred)
  • Multilingual skills
  • Dutch passport or valid work permit
