Join a growing, professional team where your expertise in tax truly makes a difference. As our Tax Advisor / Fiscalist, you’ll support clients with compliance, guidance, and smart tax solutions in a dynamic and supportive environment.

This is a Part-Time Role starting at 20-24 hours a week, with the potential to grow into a Full-Time position.

Tax Compliance

• Prepare, review, and submit accurate and timely tax returns, including income tax, profit tax, tourist tax, BBO/BAVP/BAZP, BBV, and dividend tax.
• Monitor deadlines and ensure full compliance with Aruban tax regulations.

Client Support & Advisory

• Provide practical tax advice to clients based on current legislation.
• Support Clients in understanding their tax obligations and requirements
• Proactively identify risks and opportunities for optimization

Objections & Legal Procedures

• Draft and submit objections letters (Bezwaarschriften)
• Handle matters related to statute of limitations and follow up on cases with the Tax Authorities.
• Act as the main point of contact between clients and the Department of Impuesto.
• Follow up on tax filings, correspondence, and outstanding matters.

Administrative & Portal Support

• Assist clients with setting up and managing their Impuesto online portal accounts.
• Register clients as legal entities or sole proprietors with the Tax Authorities.
• Ensure of correct setup and maintenance of applicable Tax types in the system.

Other

• Maintain organized and accurate records
• Identify areas to improve internal processes and client service
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in: Tax Law, Fiscal Economics, Finance, or Equivalent.
• Additional relevant certifications such as Aruba Labor & Tax Laws is a plus.

Experience

• Min. 3 years of experience in relevant experience in tax advisory or compliance.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of the Aruba Tax System Required.
• Experience working with Impuesto Portal.
• Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills. (Dutch and English required)
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple clients.
