On behalf of our client, a well-known and respected company in Aruba, we are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join their team at a dynamic and high-security port facility.

Position Details

Location: Aruba

Schedule: Shift-based (rotating shifts including nights, weekends & holidays)

Key Responsibilities

• Execute all duties in line with security SOPs and supervisor instructions
• Monitor surveillance equipment; report unusual activities
• Inspect all incoming and outgoing vehicles at the port
• Control cargo and perform gate-in/out operations
• Manage and direct pedestrian and vehicle traffic at access points
• Enforce port security rules and regulations
• Control and monitor visitor access
• Complete accurate, timely security reports
• Conduct routine patrols across port facilities and buildings
• Respond swiftly to security breaches, incidents, and emergencies
• Serve on the Emergency Response Team as needed

Qualifications & Skills

• MBO diploma or equivalent working/thinking level
• 2+ years of experience in a security or operational protection role
• Proven ability to act with authority, integrity, and discretion
• Strong communication skills in Dutch, English, Spanish, and Papiamento
• Ability to provide direction or lead during incidents
• Excellent observation, decision-making, and reporting skills
• Physically fit and disciplined for patrol and emergency tasks
• Basic to intermediate computer skills
• Committed to secrecy, confidentiality, and high ethical standards
