Serlimar is looking for a highly motivated candidate for the position of Heavy Equipment Mechanic with practical work experience to join our dedicated garage team. As a vital part of our maintenance operations, you will ensure that our fleet of waste collection vehicles and specialized heavy machinery remains safe, reliable, and ready to serve the Aruban community every day.

Key Responsibilities

• Diesel Engine Maintenance: Inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy-duty diesel engines.
• Specialized Fleet Repairs: Repairing the structural chassis and the upper body/compactor units of waste collection vehicles.
• General Upkeep: Performing routine and minor maintenance tasks on auxiliary equipment and other company assets.

Job Requirements

Technical Qualifications & Experience

• Experience: Minimum 3 years’ proven working experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, pneumatics, and automotive electrical systems.
• Welding Skills: Practical welding and metal fabrication skills required for structural vehicle repairs.

Licenses & Physical Demands

• Driver's License: In possession of a valid Aruban driver's license for categories B and C.
• Physical Fitness: In good physical condition, capable of performing demanding manual labor within a heavy vehicle garage environment.
