About the vacancy

We are offering an exciting Thesis Internship opportunity for a Bachelor's Degree student in Finance & Accounting. This internship is tailored for students from the University of Aruba (ua.aw), particularly from the Faculty of Accounting, Finance & Marketing, who are in the process of completing their thesis for a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics.

As part of your internship, you will contribute to a strategic initiative of Fundacion Contra Violencia Relacional’s Vision 2027 strategy and plan. You will focus on developing a comprehensive framework for AO/IC (Administratie Organisatie en Interne Controle), aimed at improving the organization’s administrative processes and internal controls. This initiative is a key component of the Foundation’s long-term goals to enhance operational efficiency and governance.




Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree student in Finance & Accounting
  • (preferably from the University of Aruba).
  • Strong understanding of Economics, Accounting
  • principles, and Finance.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while meeting
  • deadlines.
  • Strong interest in developing and understanding
  • administrative and internal control systems (AO/IC).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • in Papiamento, Dutch and English

    Contra Violencia Relacional (FCVR) as volunteers:

    o Expert 1: A Business Consultant with a Master's
    Degree and over 10 years of field experience.
    o Expert 2: An Accountant with a Bachelor’s degree
    in Finance & Accounting, holding an AA-accountant
    Certification, and with over 5 years of experience in
    Financial Administration and Accounting.

FCVR is committed to providing survivors and their families, including children below 18 years old, with essential assistance, guidance, and support. Our foundation serves the community through a range of services, including Non-Residential Services, Residential Services and Aftercare Services. Additionally, our work is augmented by a Center of Expertise and Advocacy programs aimed at supporting, defending, lobbying, educating, and debating issues related to Gender-Based & Domestic Violence. These services are delivered by our dedicated team Trained Professionals.
