Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Electrical Technician to support the maintenance and operation of our recycling plant’s electrical systems and equipment. The successful candidate will play a key role in minimizing downtime, completing preventive maintenance tasks, optimizing performance, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and components (motors, drives, control panels, PLCs, sensors, etc.).
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and respond promptly to breakdowns or emergencies.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment.
• Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and electrical asset performance.
• Collaborate with mechanical technicians, engineers, and operations staff to support continuous plant operation.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Electrical Technician, Industrial Electricity, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within industrial or waste management environments.
• Sound knowledge of electrical safety standards and troubleshooting procedures.
• Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and automated systems is a strong advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical manuals.
