Underwriter

The Underwriter is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and adjudicating retail lending applications, including loans and credit cards. The role supports timely credit decisions, verifying compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements, providing guidance to branch sales staff on lending products and documentation, and maintains accurate loan records and reporting.

The Underwriter also supports lending campaigns, manages customer-focused lending solutions, and contributes to business growth while maintaining sound credit judgment, confidentiality, and in accordance with the bank's policies, regulatory requirements, and customer service standards.

Professional requirements:

• Bachelor in Finance or Accounting or equivalent qualification
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in credit underwriting, or similar lending role.

Candidate Profile:

• Expert communication skills including fluency in English, Dutch and Papiamento.
• Strong analytical and credit assessment skills with sound decision-making ability.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to build effective working relationships and provide guidance to internal stakeholders.
• Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, confidentiality, and strong ethical standards.
• Expert PC skills using common software tools to access and communicate within the Bank (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
