About the vacancy
We are looking for a new team member to join our team. If you are passionate about your field, this is the right opportunity for you.
Responsibilities
- Monitor staff attendance daily; especially from the two resorts towel hut centers.
- Review activities and check staffing requirements with the special events and kids club coordinator.
- Schedule staff assignments and ensure that all employees are complying
- Visit the other resort towel hut center at least once a day, see if employees have all the tools, material necessary.
- Check that workstations are organized and cleaned.
- Be familiar with the occupancy report and learn to schedule staff according to the weekly/monthly overall occupancy.
- Follow up on the weekly VIP list/report to see if all amenities are made accordingly and signed.
- Handle all Reservation special amenity request, signed for and deliver on time.
- Attend Operations and Department meetings as scheduled.
- Ensure staff adhere to all hotel rules and regulations; all of the time.
- Follow up on maintenance department on all pending work orders and new work orders.
- Write out work orders for any maintenance problems within the department; especially the towel hut centers.
- Make necessary payroll documentation for every employee and pay period.
- Follow up that there are no undesirable visitors in your department, report suspicious people to security at once.
- Handle all guest/employee accidents and injuries promptly according to hotel procedures
- Conduct and coordinate all New Hire employee orientation programs within the department.
- Responsible to conduct new employee orientation; introduce new employee with all departments.
- Ensure all employees are trained and adhere to hotel standards of performance
- Coach and counsel employees when needed and always with fair and equal treatment together with supervisor or manager.
- Pick up and file all entertainment checks # for weekly or monthly payment.
- Responsible for all Entertainment Checks Payment.
- Listen and report all complaints to Leisure Services Manager; both guests and employees.
- Monitor the suggestion box on a weekly basis and report to Leisure services manager.
- Accept/inquire for employee feedback and follow up on them at all times
- In case of absence of a subordinate assume their responsibility for the period of their absence
- Prepare weekly storeroom requisitions and control the main storeroom inventory.
- Control the tennis courts on a weekly basis for cleanliness.
- Be familiar with the property’s fire and emergency program
- Responsible for the department filing and Vendors records; pending payments.
- Assist in the Leisure Services Supervisor during his absence/vacation Controlling of all the vendors, dress code, other rules and monthly payment.
- Attend all Supervisor training conducting by HR training manager.
- Assist with the signup sheets for HR training, question all employee date and time of training and follow up if employees attended the assign training.
- Any other reasonable department duties as required.
Requirements and Qualifications
- EPB High School Diploma or equivalent
- 18 years and up
- Fluent in English, Spanish and Dutch
- Can work different shifts
- Service oriented and pleasant personality
- Has a Dutch Passport or valid work permit
