Responsibilities

• Warmly and graciously greets all guests upon arrival
• When immediate seating is limited, records guest names and number of people in party, and escort to the bar for drinks.
• Call out name and number of party when tables become available.
• Provide guests with estimated waiting time, always maintaining a professional, courteous attitude when confronted with hostile, impatient or irritated guests.
• Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible.
• Seat guests based on guest preferences and balancing of customer flow in service stations.
• Upon seating, offer guests a menu and wine list, inform them about the daily special(s) and of their servers name.
• Inspect table for proper presentation and completeness.
• Relay messages to servers and bus-persons as needed.
• Clean menus of food and stains and keep the host desk in pristine condition.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager on duty.
• Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return. Relay guest comments or suggestions to the manager on duty. Hand over comment cards.
• Explain the restaurant concept and weekly events to guests.
• Give directions to the restaurant(s) to guest inquiring for it.
• Promote the restaurant to all people walking by.
• Work closely with the activities department to promote events on site

Requirements and Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma with 1 year of experience
• Fluent in English, Spanish and Dutch
• Great computer skills
• Can work different shifts
• Has a valid Health card
• Has a Dutch Passport or a valid work permit
