About the vacancy
We seek a dynamic and forward-thinking Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead Lotto pa Deporte through its next phase of strategic growth. Lotto Pa Deporte is a socially driven initiative that generates and allocates funds to support sports, physical education, and cultural enrichment in Aruba. Committed to community development, it aims to provide access to recreational and cultural opportunities, promote healthy lifestyles, and enhance the overall well-being of individuals and the community.
The CEO will be responsible for setting the overall direction, ensuring operational excellence, and driving long-term success across all business areas. This role requires a visionary leader who can balance high-level strategy with hands-on management while effectively navigating political, business, and regulatory landscapes. The CEO will work closely with a Supervisory Board and other key stakeholders to align the organization’s strategy with its performance objectives. Candidate Profile
1. Leadership & Strategic Vision
- Proven experience in a senior executive role.
- Strong ability to develop, communicate, and implement strategic policies and long-term goals.
- Experience managing complex organizations with a focus on sustainable growth.
- Demonstrated ability to lead innovation and manage organizational transformation.
2. Operational & Organizational Development
- Track record in improving business operations and driving efficiency.
- Skilled in organizational development and leading change initiatives.
- Ability to optimize structures and processes for maximum impact.
3. Financial & Risk Management
- Deep knowledge of financial oversight, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Experience in financial governance, cost control, and revenue generation.
- Strong risk management capabilities with an ability to safeguard long-term viability.
4. Human Resources & Talent Development
- Expertise in HR policy and people leadership.
- Committed to fostering a high-performance culture and employee engagement.
- Passion for professional growth, mentorship, and talent development.
5. Public Relations & Communication
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience representing organizations in political, media, and business forums.
- Strong networking capabilities and relationship-building instincts.
6. Planning, Control & Governance
- Experience working with governance bodies and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Strong strategic planning and decision-making abilities.
- Capable of maintaining alignment between operational execution and organizational objectives.

- Demonstrates high ethical standards in decision-making and resource allocation.
- Strong commitment to transparency, accountability, and public trust.
- Maintaining strong relations with government bodies, regulators, and policy influencers.
Key Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 10–15 years of senior leadership experience, ideally in a complex or multi-stakeholder environment.
- Proven success in managing and growing an organization.
- Experience working with boards, regulators, and strategic partners.
- Multilingual fluency in Dutch, Papiamento, and English is an asset.
