Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and concerns, resolving issues efficiently and maintaining a friendly, customer-focused attitude. 
• Troubleshoot and repair various building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing, as well as kitchen and laundry equipment. 
• Conduct scheduled inspections and maintenance on equipment and the physical structure of the hotel to prevent issues and ensure optimal operation. 
• Perform carpentry, painting, minor adjustments, and other general repairs on furniture, walls, fixtures, and other hotel property. 
• Adhere to safety regulations, conduct safety checks to identify potential hazards, and maintain a safe working environment for yourself and guests. 
• Keep detailed records of all maintenance activities and repairs for tracking and reporting purposes. 
• Be familiar with the property’s fire and emergency program
• Any other reasonable duties as required 

Requirements and Qualifications

• EPI Diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience in similar position
• Can understand and speak Papiamento and Spanish, English and Dutch is a plus
• Possess a wide range of handyman skills, including knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry. 
• The ability to diagnose and resolve issues quickly and efficiently. 
• Manage a variety of tasks and requests effectively, often with a demanding schedule
•  Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in a physically demanding role. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact positively with guests and other staff.
