The Trampolin pa Trabao Foundation (TpT) is looking for a Cafe Manager to help set up and
run daily operations of the “One-of-a-Kind Café.”

About the Trampolin pa Trabao Foundation
The Trampolin pa Trabao Foundation is a not-for-profit foundation established in 2009. Its
mission is to stimulate the integration and participation of people with disabilities into society,
namely into the local labor market. We do so by offering them the necessary assistance,
guidance and training to achieve this. We also try to encourage the society of Aruba to offer
people with disabilities equal opportunities, in order to be admitted to the labor process.

About One-of-a-Kind Café (OOAK)
Of all cafés on Aruba, this will be one of a kind in more than one way, because at OOAK
persons with a disability will work happily together, serving coffee and snacks, with a taste of
inclusion! It will be set up, managed and operated by TpT.

Job description OOAK Café Manager
At the start (Month1-2):
  • Assist in defining cafe concept, menu offerings, and target audience.
  • Research suppliers for equipment, ingredients, and other necessary items.
  • Assist in ordering and installing necessary equipment.
  • Do branding and marketing.
  • Conduct training sessions for staff on customer service, food safety, and operating
  • equipment.
  • Stock up on inventory and supplies for soft opening.
  • Host grand opening event and welcome first customers.

  • At Month 3 and beyond:
    The OOAK Café Manager is responsible for organizing and managing the day-to-day
    operations of the café. He/she oversees staff, ensures excellent customer service,
    determines daily menu items and prices, handles ordering and inventory, and tracks financial
    records to increase profitability and customer engagement, while maintaining a clean and
    inviting environment. The manager needs to make sure the OOAK Café maintains a strong
    presence on social media, with the knowledge of ways to reach potential clients and target
    audience.

    Job requirements
  • 5 yrs work experience as a cafe manager or in the hospitality industry.
  • Additional certification (e.g. in Business Administration or Hospitality) is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with proven ability to manage and
  • motivate a team.
  • Affinity with target group (persons with intellectual or other disabilities).
  • Customer service attitude.
  • Hands-on experience with professional coffee machines.
  • Availability to work within opening hours (including weekends and holidays).
